The #3 pointer brush is a synthetic .... the synthetics are super when you need some snap for scrolls ... they will roll into a point so you can get a nice thin line with little pressure .... then when gradually pressing on the brush get a longer thicker line when you are working on large vases... boxes and larger pieces....etc...also ..great for using this as a dry Acetone brush to wipe out scrolls from a painted or "Spritzed" area such as those shown in some of these photos.
