Shimmer of Gold

Shimmer of Gold is a metallic that is heavier than Fool's Gold, but a bit more durable. It is primarily used to add a light wash over a completed painted piece, giving it a shimmer of Gold that is not really obvious until you turn it to get the sheen. The wash is added over the entire piece then clean off (with Denatured alcohol or Acetone) the roses or main subject that was painted leaving the shimmer of gold it on everything else in the design. |
